Change in theme

After receiving feedback today, I have had a slight change in theme. Instead of photos of boats, I am now going for contemporary landscapes of East Anglia. I will now look at some landscape photographers to see what they do too.

It was photos like this that changed me theme:

Finished path 1

It is one of my strongest landscape photos from the 3 shoots that I did. I will now use photos like this in my photo book.

Third photo shoot

For my third outing, I decided to go to Old Felixstowe as there is a small marina and fishing area there which I thought would be perfect for my photography. Annoyingly, the sun went in and the rain showers took over but I still managed to take some photos.

Here is a selection of photos that I took:

I found it difficult to get many good photos as you cannot get close to much at Old Felixstowe. This means that most things I wanted to take photos of were too far away to take an effective photo, therefore meaning I did not get much.

Here are some of my favourites:

I like this photo simply because the buoy looks like a giant Christmas tree bauble. You would also never realise how big they are until you are right up next to one! I was also surprised by the textures of the buoy as they look smooth from a distance.

This photo shows the small crossing (called Felixstowe Ferry) across the river mouth to Bawdsey. I think it is interesting that people still use this crossing, despite how small the boats are and how strong the current in the water is. I also like the colours and range of boats in the photo.

There are a lot of boat wrecks along the River Deben because the tide changes so much. Although they were too far away to take many photos of,  I still like this photo as it shows how these boat skeletons are left to rot forever.
